Private Health Exchange Enrollment is On the Rise

A new report from Accenture shows that 6 million Americans with workplace coverage in 2014 received their insurance through privately run health insurance exchanges. That’s double the number from the year before.

The private insurance marketplace offers individuals not only multiple health care options, but also vision, dental, even life insurance and technology tools that make the process of selecting those plans less confusing. The report projects that by 2018, up to 40 million Americans will receive workplace health insurance in a private marketplace as employers look to provide health care in a more affordable way.
